Job Details

We're seeking Certified Home Health Aides in various locations across Suffolk County, NY. As a home health aide with Gurwin Health Care Agency, you will provide exceptional care to help clients stay safe at home. Requirements include being a Certified Home Health Aide in NY and a commitment to compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with mobility and transfers safely.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Monitor vital signs and communicate changes to medical staff.
• Offer emotional support and companionship.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) in NY.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work at least 35 hours/week, including every other weekend.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Fluent in English; good communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping.
• Completion of NY State-approved HHA training or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
