Certified Home Health Aide - Gurwin Home Care

Join us as a Certified Home Health Aide at Gurwin Home Care with CareConnect.

We are seeking Certified Home Health Aides in various locations across Suffolk County, NY to provide exceptional home care. Candidates must be certified in NY and committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care that helps clients stay safe at home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor vital signs and report changes.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
Qualifications
  • Must be a NY-certified Home Health Aide (HHA).
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work at least 35 hours/week, including every other weekend.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Fluent in English; good communication skills.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping.
  • Completion of NY State-approved HHA training or equivalent.
  • Basic literacy and arithmetic skills.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
