Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide (CHHA) with reliable transportation to provide companion activities, homemaking, personal care, and transportation to appointments.

You will assist with daily activities including hygiene, meal preparation and light housekeeping, and travel within the geographic area served. A criminal history and drug screening will be completed upon hire, and two references are required.

Qualifications

• NJ CHHA certification required.
• Reliable vehicle required.
• Able to pass criminal history and drug screening.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide two references from past employers or nursing instructors.
• Able to travel within geographic area serviced by the office.

Responsibilities

• Provide companion activities and homemaking services.
• Assist with personal care (hygiene, grooming) and positioning.
• Monitor and report vital signs as needed.
• Assist with post-stroke or dementia care tasks.
• Light house-keeping, laundry and meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to appointments and activities.
• Adhere to patient plan of care and routines.

Must have NJ CHHA certification and reliable transportation. Criminal history and background check will be completed upon hire.

CHHAs provide companion activities, homemaking, personal care, transport to appointments, and assistance with daily activities, such as grocery shopping.

• light house-keeping, laundry and assistance with meal preparation
• transportation to appointments
• adherence to patient plan of care

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• New Jersey Certified Homemaker Home Health Aide Certificate
• Reliable vehicle
• Able to pass criminal history and drug screening
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Provide two references of past employers or nursing program instructors (no family or friends)
• Able to constantly travel within geographic area serviced by office from assignment to assignment.
