Job summary

Senior Helpers - Bryan is hiring compassionate caregivers in Rahway, NJ to deliver high-quality in-home care. You’ll provide companionship, assist with activities of daily living, and work closely with families to maintain comfort and dignity for seniors in their own homes.

Qualifications

• A genuine desire to assist others and improve their quality of life.
• Compassionate, patient, and understanding of the needs of our clients.
• CertifiedHHA or CNA in the State of New Jersey (REQUIRED).
• A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
• PPD test (skin test for TB per NJ Law).
• Must complete a background check screening.

Responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional care to our clients.
• Provide personal companionship and stay actively engaged with each client and their families.
• Assist with personal care activities including hygiene, mobility, incontinence care, light housekeeping, feeding and meal prep.
• Complete all daily tasks in a safe and professional manner (ADLs).
• Collaborate with the client’s care team to provide updates and health changes.
• Record task completion and report changes in the client’s condition or behavior.

They make a direct impact in providing care to seniors who wish to age in the safety and comfort of their home instead of an assisted living facility, an independent living facility, a senior living community, or a nursing home.

Every client will have different needs that they require assistance with, but we make sure to match our clients and caregivers for the optimal fit. Care provided could include ADLs such as grooming, eating, walking, bathing, and other self-care tasks. It could also include assisting with fun hobbies and games that a client enjoys.
