AppleOne Employment Services in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Certified Forklift Operator for a direct hire on-site role. You will operate a forklift, load/unload, and support shipping and receiving daily.

This position requires a valid forklift certification, at least 1 year of experience, and strong attention to safety and accuracy. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for yearly shutdown benefits.

Job Summary

A growing materials and warehouse operation in Oxnard, CA is hiring a Certified Forklift Operator for a direct hire, on-site opportunity. This role is ideal for a dependable warehouse professional who enjoys hands‑on work, operating a forklift safely, keeping materials organized, and supporting daily shipping and receiving activity.

As a Certified Forklift Operator, you will work in a small, team-oriented warehouse environment where accuracy, safety, communication, and reliability are highly valued. The company offers a steady Monday through Friday schedule, supportive leadership, and a practical, collaborative work setting where each team member plays an important role in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and load approximately 1 to 2 trucks per day while following safe warehouse procedures.
• Operate a forklift to move, stage, load, and organize materials accurately and efficiently.
• Handle sheets of material ranging from 30 to 200 lbs., with heavier materials moved safely by two employees.
• Review pick tickets, locate requested materials, and document crate numbers on required paperwork.
• Communicate crate information to the office for system entry prior to truck loading.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse by sweeping, using a blower, and supporting general warehouse duties.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $22 to $23 per hour.
• Job Type: Direct hire.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Work Location: On-site in Oxnard, CA.
• Potential fully paid shutdown for the last two weeks of the year if the company meets its annual goal.
• Background check, education check, and drug screening are required prior to hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Operate a forklift safely in a warehouse environment.
• Receive, stage, pull, document, and load materials based on pick tickets and shipping needs.
• Maintain accurate warehouse paperwork and communicate material details to office staff.
• Support warehouse organization, cleanliness, safety, and general daily operations.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience.
• Current forklift certification required.
• Ability to safely handle warehouse materials, including sheet materials weighing 30 to 200 lbs. with team lifting support for heavier items.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to accurately complete warehouse paperwork.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to assist with all warehouse duties.
• Strong work history with demonstrated job stability.
• Must be able to complete required background check, education check, and drug screening prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Local to the Oxnard, CA area.
• Experience working in a small warehouse team environment.
• Experience with shipping, receiving, pick tickets, crate numbers, material staging, or warehouse inventory documentation.
