Quirk Auto Dealerships in Quincy, MA is seeking an experienced Certified Ford Transmission Technician for our busy Service Department. Compensation will be based on experience.

This full-time, in-person role focuses on diagnosing and repairing transmissions, performing rebuilds, tests, and providing accurate repair estimates to the Service Advisor. Quirk values teamwork and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems including engine and transmission.
• Perform transmission inspections, rebuilds, replacements, and adjustments.
• Operate diagnostic equipment to test components.
• Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs.
• Provide Service Advisor with repair estimates.
• Keep up-to-date with Ford bulletins and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair transmissions and related components.
• Perform inspections, rebuilds, and adjustments as needed.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment for accurate diagnostics.
• Test-drive and verify repairs before returning to customers.
• Prepare repair estimates for Service Advisors and customers.

Position Overview

There is an opportunity to begin a career at the best dealership group! Quirk Auto is currently seeking an experienced Certified Ford Transmission Technician for our busy Service Department! Quirk has opportunities for inspired and motivated individuals who have the desire and passion to succeed. Compensation will be based on experience.

Key Required Proficiencies

• Diagnose vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, etc
• Perform transmission inspections, repairs, rebuilds, replacements, and adjustments.
• Use Diagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components
• Test-driving vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
• Provide the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
• Stay current with Ford technical bulletins, recalls, service procedures, and new technology.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in managing and organizing work time and work-related activities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude
• Strong willingness to learn.
• Deisel experience preferred.
• Previous experience and certifications recommended.
