Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions seeks a Certified Dietary Manager to oversee daily operations of the food-service department in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities include leading staff, budgeting, menus, and ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance, in collaboration with RDs and the IDT. Prior healthcare food-service experience is preferred; a CDM certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Dietary Manager’s Course, 2-yr or 4-yr program.
• Successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager exam.
• Two years’ experience in food-service management.
• Experience in healthcare food-service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, evaluate staff.
• Develop work schedules to cover each shift.
• Create and monitor budgets for a cost-effective program.
• Manage revenue-generating services in the department.
• Justify improvements in department design and layout.
• Coordinate with clients, facility staff, physicians and vendors.
• Set standards for food preparation and service quality.
• Participate in menu planning and diet considerations.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation and HACCP compliance.
• Process diet orders and support dietitians as needed.
• Maintain records of personnel, income, expenditures, and inventory.
