Job summary

Bedford Care Centers is seeking a Dietary Services Supervisor to manage daily meal preparation in accordance with Residents’ Diet Orders, menu specifications, and regulatory standards. You will ensure high-quality food service, accurate grocery orders, and courteous interaction with Residents and staff.

The role emphasizes ensuring inventory control and sanitary practices in a senior living environment. You will oversee dietary staff, participate in menu planning, and support Residents’

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in large-scale cooking and food service operations.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required certificates.
• Able to read and write to perform job duties.
• Must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to providing compassionate care to our elders.
• Monitors and evaluates performance of Dietary staff; consults with Administrator prior to disciplinary action.
• Plans menu cycles and modifies menus for special diets as ordered by Physician.
• Completes Nutritional Assessments on new Residents; makes monthly and quarterly progress notes; visits each new Resident to obtain basic food requirements and preferences.
• Maintains current Cardex, Diet List, Diet Count; oversees and records supplemental nourishments to Residents.
