Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Within 2 years, obtain CDM certification via the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals.
• Current and active CDM certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine quality and quantity of food; plan master menus and therapeutic diets.
• Supervise menu planning, food production, and staff involved.
• Ensure nutrition, cost control, and efficient use of time; maintain standardized recipes.
• Plan menus, purchase food, and adjust cycles with the consultant dietician.
• Check food quality by taste, temperature, and appearance.
• Monitor residents’ nutritional status with assessments and care planning.
• Prepare the departmental budget and maintain inventory.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for food program.
