Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to oversee the nutritional and food service operations within a long-term care facility. Responsibilities

- Manage departmental budgets effectively, including procurement, inventory control, and cost analysis to optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health codes, nutrition standards, and regulatory policies governing food service in long-term care environments.
- Conduct patient assessments related to nutrition needs and coordinate with healthcare professionals for diagnostic evaluation and care plan adjustments.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation of dietary plans, resident progress, and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment by enforcing sanitation protocols and supervising routine cleanliness inspections.
- Provide health coaching to residents on nutrition-related topics to promote healthy eating habits and improve overall wellness.
- Stay informed about current trends in dietetics, acute care nutrition practices, and physiology knowledge to enhance service quality.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary management within long-term or assisted living facilities with supervising experience in food service teams.
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies related to food safety management and food service health code compliance.
- Expertise in managing budgets, food production processes, and managing food service operations efficiently.
- In-depth understanding of clinical nutrition, dietetics principles, physiology, and care planning for diverse resident populations.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records related to nutrition care plans.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Experience with assisted living environments or acute care settings is highly desirable.
