Job summary

Kadima Healthcare Group is seeking a Dietary Manager (CDM) in Pennsylvania to lead the care planning and dietary assessment process for residents in a long-term care setting. The role involves developing written dietary plans, and coordinating with nursing and dietary staff to ensure plans are implemented effectively.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association required.
• Registration as a Food Service Director in Pennsylvania required.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a health care setting.
• Must have training in cost control, food management, & diet therapy.
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform/oversee the care planning & assessment function.
• Maintain records of resident food likes and dislikes.
• Assist in developing assessments of dietary needs for each resident.
• Develop a written dietary plan of care identifying problems/needs and goals.
• Encourage resident/family participation in developing and reviewing the plan of care.
• Ensure dietary staff are aware of the care plan and it guides daily services.
• Review nurses’ notes to ensure care plan adherence; discuss issues with Director of Nursing.
• Identify any special equipment or utensils needed in the care plan.
• Review and revise care plans and assessments as necessary, at least quarterly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform/oversee the care planning & assessment function listed below:
• Participate in maintaining records of the resident's food likes and dislikes
• Assist in developing preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the dietary needs of each resident
• Assist in developing a written dietary plan of care that identifies the dietary problems/needs of the resident and the goals to be accomplished for each
• Encourage the resident/family to participate in the development and review of the residents’ plan of care
• Ensure that all dietary personnel are aware of the care plan and that care plans are used in planning daily dietary services for the resident
• Review nurses’ note to determine if the care plan is being followed. Discuss problem areas with the Director of Nursing
• Ensure that the care plan identifies any special equipment and utensils the resident may need
• Review and revise care plans and assessments as necessary, but at least quarterly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications:
