Job summary

Kadima Healthcare Group is seeking a Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee care planning and dietary assessments in our long-term care setting. The role includes developing and updating dietary plans, ensuring plans are used in daily services, and collaborating with residents and families.

Qualified candidates will have ADA‑approved dietetic training, PA Food Service Director registration, and at least two years in a supervisory health-care role; long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires graduate of ADA‑approved dietetic training.
• Registration as a Food Service Director in PA is required.
• Minimum two years’ supervisory experience in health care.
• Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee care planning and assessment functions for residents.
• Maintain records of residents’ dietary preferences and needs.
• Develop preliminary and comprehensive dietary assessments for residents.
• Create written dietary plans identifying problems, needs, and goals.
• Involve residents and families in developing and reviewing the care plan.

Dietary Manager, (CDM)

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform/oversee the care planning & assessment function listed below:
• Participate in maintaining records of the resident's food likes and dislikes
• Assist in developing preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the dietary needs of each resident
• Assist in developing a written dietary plan of care that identifies the dietary problems/needs of the resident and the goals to be accomplished for each
• Encourage the resident/family to participate in the development and review of the residents’ plan of care
• Ensure that all dietary personnel are aware of the care plan and that care plans are used in planning daily dietary services for the resident
• Review nurses’ note to determine if the care plan is being followed. Discuss problem areas with the Director of Nursing
• Ensure that the care plan identifies any special equipment and utensils the resident may need
• Review and revise care plans and assessments as necessary, but at least quarterly
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietic Association required
• Registration as a Food Service Director in Pennsylvania required
• Must provide documentation of registry/certificate upon application for position.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a health care setting
• Must have training in cost control, food management, & diet therapy
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred
