Job summary

Marigold Rehab and Healthcare Center in Illinois is seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to lead the dietary department, planning, directing, and supervising meals to ensure residents receive nutritious, compliant food and care.

You will supervise staff, coordinate diet plans with health teams, maintain safety and sanitation standards, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations while delivering compassionate service to seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDM, CFPP or DTR certification preferred.
• Prior dietary supervisory experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required.
• State regulatory food safety certification required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, control and supervise functions and personnel in the dietary department.
• Safely provide nutritionally appropriate meals to residents.
• Ensure quality food service and nutrition care per federal, state and local regulations.

Education

What Will You Do in This Role?

As a Dietary Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and supervising functions and personnel within the dietary department. You will also safely and efficiently provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing their overall health. The Dietary Manager ensures the provision of quality food service and nutrition care in accordance with Federal, State and Local regulations.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• High school diploma, or equivalent, required
• Trained as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Certified Food Protection Professional (CFPP), or a Dietetic Technician, registered (DTR) highly preferred
• Prior dietary supervisory experience in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting required
• Certification in food safety, as required by state regulations
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
