Job summary

Marquise is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals to residents in an assisted living or medical facility. You will follow therapeutic diets, maintain dining areas, and support with catering as needed.

A valid Food Handler Certificate is required along with hospitality or customer service experience. Strong sanitation knowledge, multitasking, and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Experience as a dietary aide or in hospitality/customer service is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Ability to prepare meals according to instructions.
• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals to residents in line with therapeutic diets and portion standards.
• Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining spaces.
• Maintain and perform cleaning per the posted schedule.
• Monitor and restock service areas.
• Observe HACCP guidelines for safe food handling.
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines when using chemicals.
• Assist with special function catering as delegated.
