Meadows Dental Care in Palatine, IL is looking for a friendly Dental Assistant to join our team and support dentists during procedures.

You will help with chairside assistance, infection control, and accurate patient records, while communicating clearly with patients to ensure comfort and trust in every visit.

Qualifications

• At least one year of dental assisting experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance during procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring patient comfort.
• Infection control: sterilize and disinfect instruments per protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records per HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with polishing procedures to enhance safety and comfort.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Keep the treatment area clean, organized, and stocked.

Job Qualifications:

• Working Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in dental assisting preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Dentrix or other dental software systems is advantageous.
• Effective Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and team members.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

• Chairside Assistance: Provide expert support during dental procedures, anticipating the dentist's needs and ensuring patient comfort.
• Infection Control: Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment details, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Polishing Assistance: Support the dentist during the polishing process to enhance patient comfort and safety.
• Patient Communication: Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns effectively.
• Treatment Environment: Ensure a clean and organized treatment area, restocking supplies and equipment as needed.

• Monday 07:00 am - 03:00 pm
• Tuesday 09:00 am - 06:00 pm
• Wednesday 08:00 am - 05:00 pm
• Thursday 09:00 am - 06:00 pm
• Friday 08:00 am - 01:00 pm
