Job summary

Cooper University Health Care is seeking a part-time Critical Care Tech to support patients in a medical-surgical unit. You will assist with daily living activities, observe patient conditions and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Successful completion of Patient Care Technician training and active PT Certification required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and maintain safety and hygiene.
• Perform phlebotomy, vital signs, EKGs and catheter care under RN supervision.
• Communicate patient status changes to RN and document care.
• Reinforce patient and family education and participate in care planning.
