Job summary

Joyce Steel Erection, Ltd. in Texas is seeking a Crane Operator for a temporary assignment on site. The role involves operating and supervising crane activities, inspecting equipment, and performing routine maintenance to keep projects safe and productive.

You must hold NCCCO crane operator certification for relevant crane sizes/types and comply with OSHA/ANSI standards. Strong communication and the ability to follow directions are essential, along with mentoring newer operators and assisting

Qualifications

• Must hold NCCCO crane operator certification for size and type.
• Must have crane operator qualifications evaluations for all crane sizes/types.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards for crane and rigging services.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Able to take direction from supervision.
• Perform daily and monthly equipment inspections.
• Follow safety policies and customer procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane under complete control.
• Operate crane under supervision.
• Inspecting the crane and all of its components and below-the-hook lifting devices regularly to ensure safety.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Carry tools for performing repairs as needed.
• Understand and execute the job billing process.
• Wear required personal protective equipment while performing work.
• Cleaning and maintaining the crane and all components while erecting, disassembling, and operating the crane; directing truck drivers and crane helpers during setup, disassembly, and scope of work.
• Mentor other crane operators and crane helpers.
