Job summary

Joyce Steel Erection, Ltd. in North Little Rock, Arkansas seeks an experienced Crane Operator to join our skilled field team.

You will operate the crane under supervision, ensure safety, perform inspections, and participate in routine maintenance while following project schedules and company policies. The role requires NCCCO certification, a valid Class A CDL, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior operators.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum Class A CDL and maintain it.
• Must possess NCCCO Crane Operator Certification for crane size and type.
• Must have Crane Operator Qualifications on all crane types.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards for crane and rigging.
• Proficient in oral and written communication.
• Must pass drug/alcohol, DOT physical, and 7-year background check.
• Must be able to take direction from supervision and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Operate crane under supervision and under complete control.
• Inspect crane and components and below-the-hook lifting devices for safety.
• Perform routine maintenance and carry tools for repairs.
• Travel crane to and from job sites.
• Wear required PPE and drive haul truck when delivering loads.
• Direct truck drivers and crane helpers during assembly/disassembly and setup.
• Mentor other crane operators and helpers.
• Maintain logbooks and hours.
