Job summary

BrightStar Care of Richmond is seeking Certified Caregivers (CNA, PCA, HHA or Nurse Aide) to assist clients at home. Responsibilities include personal care, meals, mobility support, and light housekeeping, with supervision from an RN.

A valid CNA license and CPR are required, plus a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible schedule, including weekday and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a CNA license.
• Minimum of one year of experience in caregiving.
• CPR certification and TB test or chest x-ray required.
• Licensed driver with insured automobile.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance and hygiene care as directed (bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing).
• Assist with daily tasks (feeding, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation).
• Support mobility per care plan and document changes for nursing leadership.

• Providing assistance and hygiene care as directed, including but not limited our Caregivers to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities and assisting with measurements, if necessary
• Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
• Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing

Requirements Certified Caregivers (CNA, PCA, HHA or Nurse Aide)

• High school diploma or GED
• Successful completion of a CNA license.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience.
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with an insured automobile

• Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Every other weekends
