Job summary

Sagewood in Phoenix, AZ seeks a caring caregiver to provide hands-on assistance with ADLs and act as a companion to residents, promoting independence and comfort. This role includes light household tasks, meal prep, and reminders to ensure quality daily living.

Requirements include a current Arizona CNA/Med Tech certificate or license, English communication skills, and the ability to document care accurately. Flu vaccination is required; EEO employer.

Job description

Starting Pay: $18.00-$22.00
Location: Independent Living at Sagewood

What you'll do:

Your role is to provide hands on care and assist residents as needed with their care and ADLs along with being a companion to the resident. Assists with helping to keep resident’s apartments tidy and other domestic duties as requested by the resident. By a companion and keep our seniors active while encouraging and respecting their independence.

• Ambulation and transfer assistance
• Toileting, bathing, and grooming assistance
• Wake up services and dressing assistance
• Meal preparation
• Organizational help
• Ambulation support (pushing a wheel chair or accompanying for balance)
• Errands (grocery and household goods shopping, etc.)
• Companionship
• Schedule and medication reminders
• Maintain service plan tracking of all services performed
• Know and understand resident’s expectations and meet those expectations within community policy
• Inform Supervisor of any changing conditions that affect the resident’s ability to function independently
