Job summary

The University of New Mexico's Facility Services department is seeking a Certified Locksmith to support safety, security, and accessibility of campus facilities. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electronic locking systems and access controls across a diverse campus.

The ideal candidate holds a CRL or DHT credential and has strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience preferred.
• CRL by ALOA or DHT credential required or equivalent.
• Experience with electronic access control systems and security hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electronic locks and related hardware.
• Program and manage electronic access controls for campus facilities.
• Cut and manage keys; maintain master key records.
• Oversee electronic access for University community and contractors.
• Estimate scope and cost of security projects.
