AutoNation is seeking an Used Car Technician to repair and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards, fostering customer trust and confidence in AutoNation as a care-giver for safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of automotive technician experience.
• Automotive technical training as needed by store.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Organization and follow-up skills are important.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections to recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Document work performed on each vehicle in the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as 'special tools'.
• Keep up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and participate in training classes.
