We Are Hiring

• Department: Borgess Bone, Joint & Ortho
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours weekly. Flexible hours based on availability.
• Facility: Ascension Medical Group
• Location: Kalamazoo, MI

What You Will Do

Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.

• Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes to ensure safety, including nutrition plans and schedules customized to meet individual needs.
• Design and implement comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
• Evaluate and manage injuries, maintain medical documentation, and act as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
• Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, regulations, guidelines, and in conjunction with physicians and sports performance staff.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Michigan Board of Athletic Trainers obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire or transfer required.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Additional Preferences

Potential for operative and non-operative roles. Operative potential to work as FA. Non-operative potential at High School Center. Potential for OTC.
