Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Jenkintown, PA is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support contracted schools, including Abington Friends School and Penn State Abington. This PRN per diem role offers flexible scheduling based on coverage needs and your availability.

You will provide care for student athletes, design rehabilitation programs, coordinate access to healthcare, participate in outreach events to promote the program, and receive compensation ranging from $40 to $55 per hour

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree required.
• NATA-BOC certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• Applicable state license where required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Type Of Employment: PerDiem/PRN

Schedule: Hours vary as needed

Compensation:$40.00 - $55.00, hourly, based on years of experience

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their student athletes. This position will be supporting Abington Friends School and/or Penn State Abington. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you.
