Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation in Norristown, PA is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support contracted schools and coordinate access to care for student athletes. This per diem/PRN role will align with Norristown School District coverage and varying schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree.
• NATA-BOC Board of Certification for athletic trainers.
• CPR certification.
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation.
• Determine the need for and administer athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury.
• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care.
• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.).
• Provide care for contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for student athletes.

Compensation: $40.00 - $55.00, hourly, based on years of experience

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their student athletes. This position will be supporting Norristown School District. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you.
