Job summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to support high schools in the Bensalem area on a PRN basis. The role covers multiple local schools with a schedule that varies by need and geographic coverage.

You will design rehabilitation programs, monitor athlete health, and coordinate emergency care when required. Compensation is hourly and experience-based, with benefits as outlined by the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• NATA-BOC certification required.
• CPR certification required.
• State licensure where required.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation
• Apply athletic training techniques before and during games to reduce injury risk
• Administer hydration and minor wound care as needed
• Coordinate EMS and acute care procedures to reduce impact of injury
• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company

Location: 2735 Street Road, Bensalem, PA 19020

Type Of Employment: PerDiem/PRN

Schedule: Hours vary as needed

Compensation:$40.00 - $55.00, hourly, based on years of experience

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a passionate Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to provide care for our athletes! In this role, you will service contracted schools and coordinate access to additional health care for their student athletes. This position will be supporting Bensalem High School, Truman High School, and/or Conwell Egan Catholic High School. We’ll pair our coverage needs with your availability to create a schedule that works for you.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement specific therapeutic programs for injured athletes’ rehabilitation


• Determine the need for and administer proper athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to decrease risk of injury (techniques can include taping, wrapping, bracing, proper hydration and minor wound care)


• Determine the effectiveness of athletic training/rehabilitative techniques and record change as indicated by athlete response within limits of specified plan of care


• Manage emergency incidents, coordinate EMS and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to reduce the impact on function of an injured athlete.


• Seek outreach opportunities and participate in events to promote the company (races, club teams, etc.)

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree


• National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA-BOC) Board of Certification


• CPR certification


• Applicable state license where required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree
