Job summary

Penn Medicine seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team by preparing and applying equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration. The role works independently under supervision of the Nurse Manager/Anesthesia Senior Technician and ensures availability of anesthesia inventories across ORs, ENDO, ASC and OB/LDRP suites.

Responsibilities include managing all medical gas tanks, coordinating suite turnover, maintaining par levels, and following universal precautions

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
• Graduated from ASATT anesthesia program; Certification within six months of employment or eligibility for ASATT exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative technical support and ensure availability of anesthesia equipment in ORs and related areas.
• Maintain anesthesia supplies, par levels, and rotate stock; follow Universal Precautions and safety guidelines.
