Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a Primary Care Patient Advanced Certified Medical Assistant to support Mercy Primary Care Providers in delivering safe, timely, patient-centered care in a busy outpatient clinic.

The role emphasizes collaboration with patients, providers, and the care team to drive quality outcomes. Under the direction of the primary care operations team, you will participate in MA Clinic Academy training, maintain MA certification, perform clinical documentation, support EHR

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Current Medical Assistants moving to Certified Advanced MA must complete MA competencies and maintain MA certification.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of outpatient patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Mercy Primary Care Providers with patient care in outpatient settings.
• Document clinical information in the EHR with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain MA certification and participate in ongoing competencies.
• Support efficient clinic workflows and patient throughput.
