Job summary

High Steel Structures LLC is seeking a meticulous Certifications Specialist to join our Quality Control team in Lancaster, PA. This clerical role supports mill certification review, inspector coordination, and daily QC operations in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes accurate documentation, effective communication with inspectors, and reliable data entry using SAP and Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience coordinating and scheduling in fast-paced, high-volume production.
  • Knowledge of steel fabrication processes is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate with quality inspectors to ensure material accuracy.
  • Notary Public preferred or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Review mill certifications for Lancaster and Williamsport plants and ensure material accuracy.
  • Provide phone coverage and act as primary contact for outside inspectors.
  • Prepare job files for outside inspectors prior to fabrication.
  • Provide bay sequencing and completion status updates.
  • Maintain inspection and weekend notifications.
  • Data entry of material and paint information.

Description

This is a clerical position!

We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated Certifications Specialist to join our dedicated Quality Control team in Lancaster, PA. This is a 1st shift position working Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.

Certification Specialists are responsible for dealing with mill certifications and compliance forms for projects. In addition, they will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of a face-paced quality control environment.

Areas of Responsibility for our Certification Specialist:

  • Review mill certifications for both Lancaster and Williamsport plants, ensuring accuracy of material
  • Provide phone coverage for the department and act as the primary point of contact for outside inspectors
  • Preparing job files for outside inspectors and they begin fabrication
  • Provide bay sequencing and completion status
  • Maintain inspection notifications and weekend notifications
  • Data entry of material and paint information

Our next team-member will ideally possess the following educational and work qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED) required
  • Experience with coordinating and scheduling project schedules in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Experience in and knowledge of steel fabrication processes
  • Experience communicating with quality inspectors to ensure accuracy of materials and weekly production scheduling for our Lancaster fabrication facility
  • Notary Public preferred, or willing to obtain
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to provide professional and courteous service to outside inspection agencies
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and SAP, required
