Job description

Position Summary
The Process Manager partners with the Certification Services team to identify and improve programs, processes, and systems that impact emergency physicians. This role designs and implements data-driven solutions that support quality improvement, operational efficiency, and physician engagement while aligning with ABEM’s strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
Develops and implements solutions to improve certification-related processes with the physician as end user.
Leads cross-functional quality improvement projects, analyzes outcomes, and presents findings.
Manages multiple projects and competing deadlines using project management best practices.
Analyzes workflows, develops metrics, and creates business rule–based reports.
Gathers and interprets quantitative and qualitative data from surveys and focus groups.
Designs visualizations and process diagrams to communicate complex concepts.
Applies data governance and compliance principles across systems and platforms.
Identifies trends and insights to support data-informed decision-making.
Staffs certification exams and other meetings as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience considered.

Experience with certification or credentialing bodies preferred.
Strong skills in data visualization, process documentation, and project tools.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, project management, and video conferencing tools.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and organizational ability.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (five weeks or less per year).

Work Environment
This position requires regular communication, computer work, and occasional physical movement.
Close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus are necessary.
Noise levels are generally low to moderate.
