Job summary

The City of Greenville is seeking a seasoned Arts & Crafts Program Supervisor at Jaycee Park Center for Arts and Crafts to lead programs, manage staff, and coordinate community events. You will oversee pottery studios, schedule facilities, and ensure safety and quality of services.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Fine Art (Ceramics), 3 years' recreation experience, kiln operation skills, and CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days. Experience teaching pottery is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Art with Ceramics concentration.
• Three years recreation or related experience.
• Four years pottery studio manager experience preferred.
• Prior experience loading and firing kilns required.
• CPR and First Aid/AED certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with youth and adults preferred.
• Pottery teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and supervises a variety of arts and crafts programs.
• Plans, organizes, and supervises special events and day camps.
• Oversees facility, schedules activities, and maintains equipment.
• Supervises staff and volunteers; recruits, trains, and evaluates staff.
• Maintains records, reports, and center budgets; monitors revenue.
• Represents the center on city-wide committees and promotes programs.
• Develops marketing and communications for the center, including social media.
