Description

The Art and Art History Department at Albion College is seeking a part-time Ceramic Technician. The primary responsibilities include supporting the ceramic and sculpture programs, assisting other studio classes as needed, training student workers, implementing studio safety guidelines, and helping faculty with gallery exhibitions. • FLSA Classification: Hourly / Non-Exempt
• Status: Part-Time; 17 hours per week
• Duration: 9 months per year (mid-August to mid-May)
• Pay Rate: $22/hour

• A bachelor’s degree in art or equivalent education and experience
• Extensive 3-D ceramic studio experience, including kiln operation, materials ordering, glaze making, and student assistance; strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
