Job summary

FirstCarbon Solutions in Walnut Creek, California, is seeking an Environmental Analyst to support CEQA/NEPA compliance. The role emphasizes research, data analysis, and technical writing across biology, cultural resources, air quality, and greenhouse gas topics.

You will draft and review sections of environmental documents, coordinate with project managers and subcontractors, conduct site visits, and help ensure consistency and quality while growing professionally in a collaborative,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and strong writing skills.
Strong ability to interpret regulatory requirements and summarize data clearly.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with CEQA/NEPA concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

Research and analyze data on land use, biological resources, air quality, and more to support CEQA/NEPA review.
Draft sections of environmental documents (IS, EIRs/EISs, Addenda, Exemptions) with accurate data.
Review site plans and studies to support impact analysis.
Provide background information to Project Managers and ensure content meets project needs.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather data and verify findings.
Conduct site visits to support environmental analysis.
Assist with document formatting, organization, and quality control.
Gain hands-on experience through mentorship and project work.
