Job summary

FirstCarbon Solutions in Irvine, CA is hiring an CEQA Environmental Services Analyst to support CEQA/NEPA compliance. The role collaborates with biology, cultural resources, and air quality teams to prepare environmental documents for development projects.

The position offers mentorship, growth opportunities, and a hybrid work setup with office options in Irvine or Walnut Creek. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a related field and strong writing/analytical skills, with 1+ year experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Planning, Geography, Biology, or related field.
At least 1 year of professional experience OR formal education in related field inclusive of technical writing.
Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills for translating complex information.

Responsibilities

Conduct research and analyze data on environmental topics to support CEQA/NEPA reviews.
Draft clear sections of environmental documents, including Initial Studies and EIRs/EISs.
Review site plans and technical studies to support impact analysis.
Support project managers with research and content for project requirements.
Communicate with internal specialists and external agencies to verify data.
Conduct site visits to support environmental analysis.
Perform document formatting, file organization, and quality checks.
Gain hands-on experience through project work and mentorship.
