Job summary

The Trinity River Authority of Texas seeks a General Manager to lead all operations, financial stewardship, and strategic execution for the region. The role reports to the Board and directs the Executive Management Team across multiple offices and revenue streams.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of executive leadership in a large public utility or river authority, with a strong track record in budgeting, capital programs, and regulatory compliance. On‑site leadership in Texas is required.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years of progressive leadership in water resources, drinking‑water or wastewater utility management or equivalent.
• Executive responsibility for a large organization with hundreds of staff and a multi‑facility operation.
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and public sector financial stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Direct all operations, programs, services, and resources of the Authority.
• Lead development and execution of the strategic plan and budget.
• Oversee a large, bond‑financed capital program and contract oversight.
• Provide strategic direction of security governance and public communications.
