City Rescue Mission is seeking a Chief Executive Officer who embodies a Christian faith, cares deeply about people, and will guide a citywide ministry in Jacksonville. Qualifications

• A mature evangelical Christian faith, active church involvement, and full agreement with CRM’s faith statements.
• A track record of integrity, humility, emotional maturity, sound judgment, and accountability.
• At least ten years of progressively responsible executive leadership experience with responsibility for people, strategy, finances, operations, fundraising, and Board relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate donors, secure financial support, communicate impact, and build community relationships.
• Strong financial judgment, including budgets, reporting, internal controls, and funding restrictions.
• Experience developing leaders, delegating, and guiding change across a complex organization; Christian ministry/nonprofit preferred.
• Understanding of the link between spiritual care and professional services; experience with homelessness or related services valuable.
• Willingness to live in Jacksonville and lead across CRM locations; evening/weekend commitments and travel may be required.
• Ability to complete State of Florida Level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

• Lead CRM’s spiritual leadership, organizational health, and long-term sustainability under the Board’s direction.
• Keep CRM’s Christian purpose central while ensuring resources and operations support safe, effective ministry.
• Model a mature Christian life and uphold CRM’s standards while developing leaders and strengthening cross-department collaboration.
• Serve as CRM’s principal fundraiser and public representative; cultivate major donors, churches, and community supporters.
• Translate strategy into priorities, budgets, and measurable progress; oversee financial performance and controls.
• Work with program leaders to sustain services integrating discipleship with professional practice and outcomes.
• Communicate with the Board, draft policy recommendations, and ensure governance oversight.
• Plan a thoughtful leadership transition, honor staff contributions, and ensure continuity across locations.
