Job summary

Altiva Management Group is conducting an executive search for Mission Economic Development Corporation to appoint a Chief Executive Officer in Mission, Texas. The CEO leads business attraction, retention and expansion, workforce development, entrepreneurship and small business programs, and oversees a budget of over $8.2 million.

The role requires strong cross-border collaboration, finance acumen, and clear communication with a seven-member Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of senior leadership in economic development or related field.
• Preferred: Master’s degree, the CEcD or EDFP credential, and professional fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead business recruitment, retention, and expansion for the City of Mission.
• Direct workforce development, entrepreneurship, and small business programs, including CEED.
• Prepare and manage the EDC’s annual budget and report to the Board on performance and spending.
• Serve as the EDC’s primary representative with site selectors, developers, state and federal agencies, the City of Mission, and partners in Mexico.
• Advise the Board of Directors, carry out its direction, and keep it informed ahead of decisions
• Lead and develop the EDC staff
