Job summary

The Belton Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) seeks an Executive Director to serve as the BEDC’s chief staff executive and lead economic development efforts in Belton, Texas. The role requires strategic planning, staff leadership, and the ability to manage incentives, real estate, and partnerships while representing BEDC with businesses, site selectors, developers, and public entities.

A bachelor’s degree and at least five years in economic development or related leadership are required;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics, public administration, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in economic development or related leadership.
• Experience leading complex projects and coordinating stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead BEDC staff and operations with strategic priorities and measurable results.
• Build relationships with site selectors, developers, utilities and government partners.
• Negotiate incentives and development agreements in alignment with policy and law.
• Develop and implement the Economic Development Strategic Plan in coordination with the City.
