Belton Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) in Belton, Texas, seeks an Executive Director to lead BEDC operations, guide economic development strategies, and oversee incentives, real estate and partnerships with businesses, developers and government entities.

The role requires a strong track record in leadership, project delivery and community collaboration to advance Belton’s competitive position.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in economic or community development, business administration, economics, finance, public administration, planning, marketing, real estate or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in economic development, corporate or business development, site selection, real estate/development, public administration, finance, industry, or a closely related field, including demonstrated leadership of complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience leading employees, teams, consultants or major cross-functional initiatives is strongly preferred.

Mansioni

• Serve as BEDC chief staff executive to the BEDC Board; translate Board direction into strategic priorities, annual work plans, projects and measurable results.
• Lead business attraction and project-development activities from prospect identification through due diligence, negotiation and post-project follow-up.
• Develop budget and manage financial performance; coordinate with City Finance and other departments on accounting and procurement.
• Represent BEDC with businesses, site selectors, developers, utilities and partner agencies; act as principal spokesperson.
• Collaborate with City of Belton and partner organizations to advance economic development priorities and community initiatives.
