Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies leader, is seeking an Incremental Build Technician at its Sidney, Ohio site to support design, development, and qualification of oil-free centrifugal compressors for HVACR systems.

You will work with engineers in a state-of-the-art lab, assembling, testing, and validating components while following 5S+1 guidelines, safety audits, and quality checks.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment and basic instrumentation.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
• U.S. work authorization; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to create and test bearing technology for Copeland Centrifugal compression.
• Operate lab assembly and measurement equipment and perform tests.
• Fabricate supporting components for tests, including welding and soldering.
• Collect and document build data ensuring standards compliance and takt times.
• Assist with lab upkeep, 5S+1 audits, safety walks, and quality checks.
