Job summary
Gallo Mechanical Services is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician specialized in heavy chiller systems. The role focuses on inspection, testing, repairs, and planned maintenance of advanced chiller type systems across large commercial facilities.
Candidate must have strong troubleshooting skills, experience with centrifugal & magnetic bearing compressor technology, and the ability to lead junior technicians while coordinating with customers and project teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of chiller repair experience.
- 4+ years of HVAC tech experience.
- Two-year technical degree preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting of chiller control panels and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, diagnose and repair complex chiller systems.
- Coordinate work on large projects and service contracts.
- Perform disassembly/reassembly for maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Operate hand/power tools and test equipment safely.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Lead technicians and provide technical guidance.
