Job summary

H&G Systems is seeking an experienced Commercial Chiller Service Technician to join our Dallas-Fort Worth service team. You’ll diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize centrifugal chillers and large HVAC systems across North Texas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Proven experience servicing centrifugal chillers or other large-tonnage HVAC equipment.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification; Texas TDLR License; valid driver's license with insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize centrifugal chillers and large HVAC systems in the DFW area.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize performance and reliability.
• Complete start-ups, commissioning, inspections, and operational testing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues.
• Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Read wiring diagrams and create accurate digital service reports.
• Communicate with customers about conditions and repairs.
• Maintain safety and quality workmanship.

What You’ll Do

As a Commercial Chiller Service Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize centrifugal chillers and other large commercial HVAC systems throughout the DFW area.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair centrifugal chillers and large-tonnage HVAC equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment performance and reliability
• Complete start-ups, commissioning, inspections, and operational testing
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues
• Analyze system performance and recommend corrective actions
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
• Complete accurate digital service reports and documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment conditions and repair recommendations
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Proven experience servicing centrifugal chillers or other large-tonnage commercial HVAC equipment
• Experience with manufacturers such as York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, or similar platforms
• EPA 608 Universal Certification
• Texas TDLR License
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in the field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with magnetic bearing, screw, or absorption chiller systems
• Building automation and controls experience
• Factory training certifications
• Experience servicing mission‑critical facilities such as hospitals, data centers, or industrial plants
