Skillforce currently seeks an experienced Chiller Service Technician for direct hire in Austin, TX and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time hours with hourly pay ranging from $60 to $70, depending on experience.

You will install, maintain, repair, and test chillers and related systems, while supporting the service team with estimating and project coordination. Candidates should have 6+ years of experience servicing large commercial chillers, EPA and TDLR credentials, strong diagnostic

Qualifications

• 6+ years of servicing large commercial/industrial chillers.
• Must have EPA and TDLR certifications.
• Proven diagnostic and repair skills.
• Strong communication and team leadership qualities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comfort with digital documentation tools and service software.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair chillers and other refrigeration systems.
• Inspect and test components to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular maintenance to minimize downtime; support sales and scheduling.
• Troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain boilers and hot water systems.
• Service low, medium, and high‑pressure steam systems and related equipment.
• Familiarity with variable frequency drives and controls is a plus.
• Utilize digital tools and software and follow safety protocols.

What You’ll Do

• Install, maintain, and repair chillers and other refrigeration systems
