Job summary

Kitsap Mental Health Services seeks a Centralized Scheduler to manage appointment bookings across KMHS locations and update client and insurance data in the EMR system. The role supports efficient access to care and collaborates with clinical teams to maximize provider availability.

Strong customer service and organizational abilities are essential. Applicants should have at least 2 years in customer service; preferred background includes medical terminology familiarity and EMR usage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience handling scheduling or front-desk duties is a plus.

Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) provides comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals and families across Kitsap County. As a Centralized Scheduler Representative, you will play an important role in ensuring clients can access services quickly and efficiently. This position is responsible for scheduling appointments across all KMHS locations, updating client and insurance information in the electronic health record system, and partnering with clinical teams to maximize provider availability and support positive client experiences. Primary Responesibilities:

• Ensure positive agency communication by answering all incoming phone lines and routing them in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Return messages left on the voicemail system.
• Screens calls, takes messages and provides information. Answers questions regarding client appointments.
• Maintains appointment scheduling and follows office-scheduling policies.
• In addition to the above, any other responsibilities are appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.

Minimum Qualifications:

• EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of customer service experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

• EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED
• EXPERIENCE: Course work in medical/psychiatric terminology.
• Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
