Job Description Centralized Intake (CI) is an essential unit that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and functions as a processing center for reports of suspected abuse and neglect for both children and adults for the entire state of Michigan covering all 83 counties.

Centralized Intake (CI) is an essential unit that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and functions as a processing center for reports of suspected abuse and neglect for both children and adults for the entire state of Michigan covering all 83 counties.

Intern responsibilities for the MDHHS Centralized Intake Unit will include, but are not limited to assisting with the management and distribution of online complaints, law enforcement notifications, and other administrative support tasks. Additional duties may include data entry, monitoring shared inboxes and work queues, maintaining organized records, and assisting staff with daily administrative functions.

  • You will be subject to an MDHHS background check and, if selected to move forward in the process, will be required to provide a copy of your driver license and social security card.
  • If an Affiliation Agreement is required by your university, you must ensure there is one in place or that your university initiates the process prior to starting your internship. Affiliation Agreements are legal documents that can take 3 months or longer to complete.
