Job summary

The State of Michigan is seeking an Intake Specialist for the Centralized Intake unit in Detroit. You will answer calls to the MDHHS Centralized Intake hotline, collect critical information, and document it in secure systems under strict timelines.

Daily duties include interviewing callers, entering child welfare complaints into MiSACWIS and adult welfare cases into MiAIMS, and coordinating with partners to protect vulnerable populations. Remote/hybrid work may be available for a limited time.

Qualifications

• Experience handling intake or crisis hotlines.
• Ability to document information accurately and within timelines.
• Familiarity with state welfare information systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls on the MDHHS Centralized Intake hotline for reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
• Document complaint information obtained from callers during interviews and from systems.
• Enter child welfare complaints into MiSACWIS and adult welfare complaints into MiAIMS.
