Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Materials Handling Attendant to receive, inventory, stock, issue and distribute supplies and equipment across the hospital system.

Responsibilities include using the ERP platform and Zebra handheld devices for picking, delivering, receiving and restocking, maintaining accurate inventory, assisting nursing staff, and training new staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience with inventory management and ERP systems recommended.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for centralized equipment, supplies and accessories.
• Use ERP and Zebra handhelds to pick, deliver, issue, receive, inventory and stock.
• Process returns and restock; dispose of outdated materials.
• Maintain excellent customer service by phone and in person.
• Report shortages to the supervisor/manager.
• Inspect and redistribute equipment; ensure Code Carts are functional.
• Coordinate with nursing/staff to locate equipment as needed.
• Assist in training new Equipment Handling Attendants.
• Assist in orientation and training of new employees.
