We are seeking a Central Sterile Technician responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of supplies, instrumentation, and equipment for all surgical locations and other hospital areas. The role also involves receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies for Operating Room case carts and patient care departments.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year experience in a Central Sterile Processing department
• Graduation from an accredited CSS training program (applicable when waiting to become certified)

Specific Requirements:

• Certification in Central Sterile Processing or certification within 1 year of hire

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with Meditech, Epic, Performance Manager/NetLearning systems
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively
• Ability to work independently, make decisions, and communicate tactfully with staff, patients, and visitors
• Flexibility, integrity, teamwork, and adherence to instructions
• Knowledge of medical terminology and sterilization techniques
