SCOPE OF POSITION

The Sterile Supply Technician II functions as an integral member of the Central Sterile Supply team, ensuring the safe and accurate supply of operative instrumentation to healthcare team members within the Department of Perioperative Services and other departments requiring instrument processing.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sterile Supply Technician II receives, inspects, sorts, decontaminates, rebuilds sets, wraps instruments, sterilizes, and delivers surgical instrumentation for operative and invasive procedures. This role is responsible for decontamination of surgical instruments, utensils, and other surgical items, as well as preparation, packing, processing sterile stores, and other related duties.
