Job Summary

The Certified Central Sterile Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that equipment consistently meets the highest quality and safety standards. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and adherence to protocols.

Responsibilities include receiving and processing incoming supplies and equipment, performing cleaning and sterilizing duties, and properly handling, processing, and storing essential medical instruments.

The technician is also responsible for monitoring sterilizer equipment to ensure it meets performance specifications, including inspection and documentation. Additionally, they prepare packs of supplies, and instruments in Central Sterile Supply.

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) or more year of job related experience.
• Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and/or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) certification
